Firstly, if you can’t spell "foolish", you lose the right to call others foolish.

Secondly, yes, she was an adult who participated in a contest. The point you seem to miss is that, on multiple occasions, medical professionals called in to tell the DJs the contest was dangerous – and they chose not to pass the advice onto the contestants. The contestants did not participate in the contest with full knowledge of the potential danger – they didn’t choose to do something life-threatening.

To use your analogy … no, you probably wouldn’t blame your twin if he died in a hunting accident. If, however, while on the hunting trip your brother walked through a minefield and stepped on one because no-one had told him they were there, you would sue so quick your head would spin.

Said another way … the people in question (DJs, land-owners) are not held accountable for someone else’s choice (competition, hunting trip). They are held accountable for withholding important (and life-saving) information, leading people make uninformed choices.

And finally, if people choose to ignore professional medical advice and thereby directly put other people’s lives at risk – they not only deserve to lose their jobs and careers, they should be in jail.

This is such crap. She was a adult and participated in this contest. If it was my mom that did such a fullish thing. I would be more mad at her than the DJs or the show. Its sad and my heart gos out to the kids of the family.

if my twin brother had an accident will on a hunting trip. not one person would blame the gun company, the ammo company, the land owner, or the people that sold us the hunting licenses. we would sadly blame him.

People lost there jobs and careers for one persons fullish mistake.
