In the Santa Monica Daily Press, attorney Christie Asselin details a nasty little rip-off involving furniture sales by companies that take consumers’ cash and fail to deliver the products.
She focuses on owners of an outfit called Cozi Couch, which seems to have defrauded 20 people in Santa Monica. Her suggestions to avoid “Empty living room syndrome” incldue avoid paying in cash up front, and act sooner rather than later if you suspect something is weird.
