BP, not taxpayers, should compensate victims

New Orleans Times-Picayune: Rebecca Mowbray has details about the call by the American Association for Justice for BP, and not taxpayers, to pay for the damages caused by the oil catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico. “After 9/11, the government compensated people who were victims of a terrorist attack; in this case, the perpetrators are for-profit, multi-national oil companies.”
