California looks to hold mortgage lenders accountable for abuses

Sacramento Bee: The attorneys general of California and Nevada — the states with the highest foreclosure rates in the nation — will work together to investigate abuses in the mortgage industry, reports Rick Dayson. “We believe that there must be accountability and consequences associated with this crisis,” California attorney general Kamala Harris said in announcing the states’ agreement to combine investigative forces.
