California’s chief justice says courts should be open
Wednesday, February 24, 2010
Associated Press: California Supreme Court chief justice Ron George, in his “State of the Judiciary” message to the legislature, said cutbacks in state courts’ budget and staffing have made the court system “hard-pressed to provide accessible justice.” Courts have been closed one day a month as a result of the cuts, but George said the closures “must not continue into the next fiscal year.” The full text of George’s remarks can be found here.
