  • Nobody here but us chickens. Maybe some pathogens, too Tuesday, December 1, 2009

    Consumer Reports: TheĀ  respected consumer magazine found that two-thirds of the chickens it bought in grocery stores nationwide harbored salmonella and/or campylobacter, the leading bacterial causes of foodborne disease. That’s a modest improvement since January 2007, when Consumer Reports found that eight of 10 broilers harbored those pathogens.
