Ford memos show Explorer rollovers weren’t all Firestone’s fault

Washington Post: Peter Whoriskey reports internal Ford memos, uncovered during civil suits, show “the company’s own engineers had discovered potential dangers in two key Explorer features, its suspension and roof strength, that could make the vehicle especially lethal during a blowout.” This, after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration sided with Ford’s contention that Firestone tires were causing fatal Explorer rollovers.
