Los Angeles Times: The state of the economy has had an impact on jury pools in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Carol Williams writes: “Money woes inflicted by the recession have spurred more hardship claims, especially by those called for long cases, say jury consultants and courtroom administrators.” Her story reports working Californians who might be more in tune with victims are more likely to find jury duty a hardship, and plaintiffs may have a tougher time winning civil cases as a result.
