Infection control problems found at outpatient centers
Friday, June 11, 2010
Wall Street Journal Health Blog: Katherine Hobson writes “attention is being paid to infection-control practices at outpatient surgical centers.” She cited a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, showed at least one lapse in compliance with infection-control guidelines in 68% of the centers it surveyed in three states. More than three-fourths of all operations are performed in such outpatient centers.
