Huffington Post: University of Texas School of Law professor Charles M. Silver, in the wake of BP‘s agreement to set aside $20 billion to compensate victims of the gulf oil catastrophe, writes: “President Obama’s treatment of BP doesn’t worry me much, but a general shift of responsibility for mass torts from the courts to the executive branch certainly would.”
