Lawsuits mount against Yaz, Yasmin

Los Angeles Times: “As of mid-February, about 1,100 lawsuits had been filed in the United States against Bayer,” the manufacturer of the birth control pills Yaz and Yasmin,” according to Tammy Worth in this overview of the controversy over the drugs’ safety. Dr. Sidney Wolfe, founder and director of the nonprofit advocacy group Public Citizen‘s Health Research Group, tells Worth, “There is reason to be concerned, I believe, about both of them.”
