Lead-laden chalkboards recalled

The Consumer Products Safety Commission and a California company are recalling children’s chalkboards that contain high levels of lead.
Art supply stories nationwide sold the lead-laden chalkboards from July 2004 through June 2009 for about $75, the commission said in its statement. The company was identified as MacPherson’s of Emeryville, Calif. The boards were manufactured in China.
The item numbers are AA13301 and the UPC number is 082435133010. Parents should take the chalkboards immediately, and contact the firm, (866) 319-5335.
