San Diego-area hospital may have exposed 3,400 patients to infection

North County Times: Palomar Pomerado Health System has sent letters to 3,400 patients who underwent medical procedures over a 15-month period, telling them they may have been exposed to infections. Teri Figueroa reports hospital officials said “PPH employees missed a few steps while cleaning equipment used in certain procedures.”
