Steroid recall: FDA warns this stuff can cause major shrinkage
Friday, November 13, 2009
A Florida company is recalling five products aimed at consumers who hope to gain strength after the FDA discovered they contained steroids, the agency announced today.
IDS Sports is recalling products marketed over the internet and elsewhere under the names, Bromodrol, Dual Action Grow Tabs, Grow Tabs, Mass Tabs, and Ripped Tabs TR. They are sold in black boxes containing blister packs of 60 capsules or white bottles with black labels containing 30 or 60 capsules.
As you can see on its homepage, the company is selling its product as a shortcut to become cut.
The Food And Drug Administration says the products contain steroids, including “Madol,” “Turinabol,” “Superdrol,” and-or “Androstenedione.”
Such products can cause acute liver injury, shrunken testes, and enlarged breasts in men. Steroids also can stunt childrens growth.
