Suits filed over gas pipeline explosion “will be given first priority”

San Jose Mercury News: A San Mateo County Superior Court judge says lawsuits stemming from a gas pipeline explosion that destroyed 38 homes in San Bruno last September “will be given first priority,” according to a story filed by Joshua Melvin. More than 70 suits have been filed, accusing Pacific Gas & Electric of negligence leading to the blast that killed eight people. Judge Steven Dylina encouraged efforts to settle cases before they go to trial.
