The maker of Louisville Slugger baseball bats has been ordered to pay $792.000 to the family of a teenager who died during a baseball game in 2003. The verdict adds to an ongoing controversy in youth, high school and college baseball about whether pitchers have enough time to react to balls hit by aluminum bats.
