  • The man behind the West Virginia mine disaster that killed 29 men Tuesday, December 14, 2010

    Rolling Stone:  Jeff Goodell tells the story of the long list of environmental and workplace disasters perpetrated by Don Blankenship during his tenure as CEO and chairman of Massey Energy.  An explosion at one of Massey’s mines in West Virginia earlier this year killed 29 miners.  Blankenship announced his retirement one week after this story was published, but it doesn’t appear he’ll be hurting after he stops working.
