Toyota rollover cases won’t be re-opened; evidence lacking
Thursday, December 24, 2009
Daily Journal: Ciaran McEvoy reports, “A plaintiff lawyer has concluded internal Toyota Motor Corp. documents provided to him by a disgruntled former company counsel do not contain any new evidence worthy of re-opening rollover crash cases, and has voluntarily dismissed 17 of them against the company.” The former Toyota attorney, Dimitrios P. Biller, had filed a federal civil racketeering lawsuit against the carmaker, alleging company executives had suppressed evidence in lawsuits related to rollovers.
