Federal Trade Commission: The company that, according to the Federal Trade Commission, used “a deceptive robocall operation that allegedly used millions of pre-recorded telemarketing messages to fraudulently pitch extended auto warranties to U.S. consumers” has been permanently banned from telemarketing under an agreement with the FTC. Voice Touch will also pay $655,000 in consumer redress, and the company’s owner will turn over the proceeds from the sale of his second home in Florida, his Porsche 911 and his Lexus. The FTC had earlier settled with another company involved and is still pursuing action against two other companies.
