    KDFW-TV, Dallas-Fort Worth: Becky Oliver investigates the impact of caps on damage awards to victims of medical negligence in Texas that took effect in Texas in 2003 under the name of “tort reform.” “The reform put caps of $250,000 on non-economic damages like pain and suffering,” Oliver reports. “That means people who don’t work, like the elderly, babies and stay-at-home parents are limited even if they win a malpractice lawsuit.” Here is her report:
